On the left we have the lyrics from Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines. On the right we rape survivors participating in Project Unbreakable, showing the various things that were said to them by their rapist.

From the Mouths of Rapist: The Lyrics to Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines

i think this is the most powerful photoset i’ve ever seen on tumblr.

Reblogging until you understand why this song is so vile

Reblogging again because I am glad that this one shows Pharrell. Everyone seems to have forgotten that he was a part of this, Pharrell co-wrote Blurred Lines and has defended it repeatedly, please just remember that.

And this song hit the top charts… People that don’t believe our society has an issue with rape and misogyny will never cease to amaze me… Always reblog.

I know I’m gonna lose followers for this but I just had to reblog.
If you think you love animals: please stop eating them. You don’t kill someone you love.

I would have to disagree with you. I can say I love animals because I do! But there is something different about killing your pet and killing a pig for meat that you use to survive. I respect that you are a vegan, now please respect that I like bacon and steak. I’m not trying to make you turn into someone who eats meat, so please don’t try to turn me into a vegan.

Actually no there’s not a difference (e.g. In parts of asia dogs are served as a delicacy.) A pig is actually smarter than a 3 year old child, so your bacon is more intelligent than human children. And what’s funny is your point that we need meat to survive… - combine chickpeas and lentils and you have the complete proteins all identify only with meat. You seem quite narrowminded as eating meat is not a personal choice - you’re forgetting the billions of individuals that are killed for an unnecessary diet.

Me and billions of others depend on meat to survive. So please don’t tell me what I should and shouldn’t eat. I honestly don’t care if you want me to stop, I won’t. I should be allowed to eat what I want without you breathing down my neck telling me that it isn’t right to kill animals for food. I respect that you don’t eat meat, but please shut your mouth if you’re just going to tell me that I’m immoral or wrong for doing it.

If you eat meat that’s fine. If your a vegan that’s fine. But if your a vegan forcing your beliefs on others that’s not okay. I have to eat meat for protein, I can’t take vitamins because my body won’t accept them, and I’m not the only one like that. Also every culture has their differences on what they eat. That’s just how they live. It’s not up to you to force your opinions on others, so please respect people’s opinions.

It’s funny that the protein and nutritional debate going on about meat is still a topic. As I said above, chickpeas and lentils have more protein per gram than meat. Almond milk also has more calcium than cow milk. Dear god I’m not forcing anything. Hilarious since you started the debate with me and now suddenly I’M forcing MY beliefs on you. It’s simple to me, you can’t handle self reflection. Unhealthy? Meat to survive? There are vegan marathon runners, vegan body builders and average vegans with average salaries. You know what people in third world countries eat? Well, NOT MEAT. They actually eat vegan with a salary of 2 dollars a month. So don’t even get me started on how veganism is not too expensive.
But what baffles me the most is that I actually have to write out these facts for you to understand. In the end millions (oh wait billions) of highly intelligent animals are brutally slaughtered for your hamburgers. And you know what? I don’t give a fuck about your damn excuses anymore. Because in the end you’re the one contributing to world hunger, animal cruelty, animal extinction and mass deforestation.
Thanks again.

This discussion is OVER. Shut up and let me eat what the fuck I want. I honestly don’t care what you think of me, and I never have. Now please go somewhere and do something with your life…

The usual defensive response when you have no argument left but your selfish tastebuds. You don’t care what we think of you? Then don’t infest vegan posts with your “we need meat to survive” bullshit- if you can’t handle a response.

Vegan Nazis are real.

what the fuck? We try to save animals and we’re called nazis. Oh man.

I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.

A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?

It is a big deal because i’m a transman

It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.

Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.

At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.

At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.

TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.

Awesome!

wow this is awesome
